Description
The Three Musketeers is a French historical adventure novel written and published in 1844 by French author Alexandre Dumas. It is the first of the author’s three d’Artagnan Romances. As with some of his other works, he wrote it in collaboration with ghostwriter Auguste Maquet.
It a classic adventure about D’Artagnan, a young man who travels to Paris to join the King’s elite guard. He befriends three musketeers Athos, Porthos, and Aramis. Together they fight corruption and political intrigue under the motto “All for one, and one for all,” protecting Queen Anne from Cardinal Richelieu’s schemes.
