Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw– Book 3
This is the third book in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series published in 2009. The book acts as a journal and follows the adventures of Greg Heffley, the narrator of the book, who is in the second half of his seventh-grade year. Greg Heffley’s father, Frank, tries to make Greg more “manly” by enrolling him in sports and other activities. Greg’s attempts to avoid these activities ultimately lead to him being threatened with being sent to a military academy. The book explores Greg’s awkward experiences, his relationship with his family, and his pursuit of a relationship with Holly Hills.
