Journeys Through Bookland, subtitled ‘a new and original plan for reading, applied to the world’s best literature for children’, was a ten-volume anthology initially published in 1909 by Bellows-Reeve Company. The series includes poems, myths, Bible stories, fairy tales, and excerpts from literary works by Cervantes, Dickens, Shakespeare and Swift, among others. Volume 10 serves as a guide to the series.

It features a collection of classic stories, lighthearted fantasy, poems, and cautionary tales. It begins with the poem “John’s Pumpkin,” includes excerpts from Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, and features the poem “The Spider and the Fly”.
